Were you the victim of former Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. broker Pamela Lizanich (CRD# 5742762)? Lizanich has been registered with NYLIFE Securities LLC in Greenville, South Carolina since 2018. Previously, Lizanich was registered with IFS Securities in Atlanta, Georgia from 2017 to 2018 and with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. in Greenville, South Carolina from 2013 to 2017. Prior to then, Lizanich was registered with Capital Investment Group, Inc. in Greer, South Carolina from 2011 to 2013.

Lizanich has been the subject of five customer complaints between 2019 and 2020, according to her CRD report:

July 2020. “Claimants allege that various alternative, illiquid, complex, and unsuitable securities were recommended regardless of their risk tolerance and investor profile. Claimants are seeking actual damages over $5,000,000, together with rescission, interest, punitive and/or treble damages, costs, and attorney’s fees.” The customer is seeking $5 million in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate securities, variable annuities, and unit investment trusts (UITs) and the complaint took place while Lizanich was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

July 2020. “Claimants allege that their interests were disregarded and they were steered into multiple illiquid and unsuitable private placement investments. Claimants are seeking actual damages over $5,000,000, together with rescission, interest, punitive and/or treble damages, costs, and attorney’s fees.” The customer is seeking $5 million in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate securities, variable annuities, and UITs and the complaint took place while Lizanich was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

July 2020. “Claimants allege they were steered into multiple illiquid and unsuitable private placement investments Claimants are seeking actual damages between $50,000.01 and $100,000, together with rescission, interest, punitive damages, costs, and attorney’s fees.” The customer is seeking $50,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate securities and the complaint took place while Lizanich was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

November 2019. “Allegations include recommendations were made for unsuitable and illiquid securities.” The customer sought $100,000.01 in damages and the case was settled for $80,000. The complaint was regarding real estate securities and direct investments and the complaint took place while Lizanich was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. and Capital Investment Group, Inc.

October 2019. “Allegations include that various alternative, illiquid and unsuitable securities were recommended by representative(s).” The customer sought $100,000 in damages and the case was settled for $575,000. The complaint was regarding real estate securities and took place while Lizanich was registered with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Lizanich’s customers.
