February 2021. “Claimant alleges that unsuitable recommendations were made to him in 2016, including advising him to accept a lump sum early retirement offer from Verizon for $500,000 and placing $300,000 in a Polaris Platinum III variable annuity.” The customer is seeking $500,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding variable annuities and took place while he was registered with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc.
