January 2024. “Registered Representatives registered with Growth Capital Services, Inc. alleged to have sold fraudulent private placements to their customers. Customers filed suit and named me as a co-respondent.” The customer is seeking $2,000,000 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding private placement losses, and it took place while he was registered with Growth Capital Services, Inc.
April 2023. “Registered Representative of Growth Capital Services, Inc. alleged to have sold a fraudulent private placement to their client. Client sued Registered Rep and the RR added me as a third-party respondent for failure to supervise.” The customer is seeking $100,000 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding private placement losses, and it took place while he was registered with Growth Capital Services, Inc.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Growth Capital Services, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Brian Dunn’s customers.
