There are options for customers of former J.P. Morgan Securities LLC broker Eric Silvestre (CRD# 3171573) who suffered investment losses. Silvestre has been registered with Western International Securities, Inc. in Santa Monica, California since September 2019. Previously, Silvestre was registered with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in Santa Monica, California from 2012 to 2019, when he was terminated regarding, “registered rep voluntarily resigned while under internal review for allegedly exercising discretion in non-discretionary investment accounts and marking those trades as unsolicited.”
Silvestre has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2013 and 2019, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report:
August 2019. “Client alleges unauthorized trading regarding Equity-OTC investment. Activity dates 10/02/2015-10/02/2015.” The customer is seeking $2 million in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding equity OTC and took place while Silvestre was registered with J. P. Morgan Securities LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Silvestre’s customers.
