Morgan Stanley broker Nicholas Sberlati (CRD# 4953286) faces a corporate bond investment complaint. Sberlati has been registered with Morgan Stanley in Chicago, Illinois since 2009.
Sberlati has been the subject of one customer complaint, according to his CRD report:
August 2020. “Institutional client alleges that it was not told about a special mandatory redemption provision of a corporate bond it purchased through an unsolicited order in June 2020. The firm maintains that the redemption provision was publicly disclosed and available.” The customer is seeking $633,680 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint is regarding corporate debt.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Morgan Stanley may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Sberlati’s customers.
