In July 2025, Former Merrill Lynch broker Isaiah Williams (CRD# 6211219) was arrested following allegations that he stole $2.59 million in funds from the Bank of America account of a former Dolphins defensive safety Reshad Jones, who earned $58 million throughout his football career between 2010 and 2019. It is alleged that he charged two American Express credit cards with numerous expenses, including hotel rooms, airline tickets, car rentals, strip clubs and nightclubs, rent, jewelry, designer clothing, child support payments, and legal fees. Isaiah Williams was a former one-time Miami Dolphins safety.
In April 2025, FINRA barred him after he “consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he refused to provide information requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of allegations made by his member firm in Form U4 and U5 filings.” According to his BrokerCheck,
“The findings stated that the firm had filed a U4 amendment disclosing a customer complaint that alleged Williams engaged in misrepresentation and improper OBAs. Subsequently, the firm filed a Form U5 stating that Williams voluntarily resigned while under internal review into allegations of misappropriation, unsuitable asset allocation, misrepresentations, and an improper business activity.”
