Merrill Lynch

Were you the victim of former Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated broker Ali Chehab (CRD# 7625979)? He was registered with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated in Portland, Oregon, from 2023 to 2024, when he was terminated regarding, “Conduct including failure to adhere to firm standards regarding selling away, impermissible recommendation to a self-directed customer, and impermissible use of personal email address to conduct firm business.” He was previously registered with Equitable Advisors, LLC in Portland, Oregon, from 2022 to 2023.

In August 2025, he was named in a FINRA complaint that alleged that he “failed to respond to requests for information and documents that FINRA made as part of its investigation into allegations that Chehab had engaged in sales practice violations including selling away, unauthorized trading, and making material misrepresentations to customers. The complaint alleges that Chehab’s failure to provide the requested information and documents impeded FINRA’s investigation into his potential misconduct because he deprived FINRA of documents and information that was material to its investigation.”
