Au has been registered with Spartan Capital Securities, LLC in New York, New York since August 2019. Previously, Au was registered with Westpark Capital, Inc. from 2015 to 2019.

Au has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2017 and 2019, according to his CRD report:

September 2019. “Claimant suffered losses from active trading, options, and high commissions. Client also claims breach of fiduciary duty & misrepresentation among others regarding the purchase of a private placement purchase.” The customer is seeking $125,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint took place while Au was registered with WestPark Capital Inc. and was regarding common and preferred stocks and private placements.

July 2017. “Unauthorized trading.” The customer sought $17,540.34 in damages and the case was settled for $3,500. The complaint took place while Au was registered with WestPark Capital Inc. and is regarding common and preferred stocks.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, WestPark Capital Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Au’s customers.
