Did You Suffer Energy Sector Losses with Former RBC Capital Markets, LLC Financial Advisor Harold Lauber?

Erez Law is currently investigating former RBC Capital Markets, LLC financial advisor Harold Lauber (CRD# 811265) regarding energy sector losses. Lauber has been registered with Herbert J. Sims & Co. Inc. in Naples, Florida since July 2015. Previously, he was registered with RBC Capital Markets, LLC in Naples, Florida from 2007 to 2015.

In August 2008, the Florida Department of Financial Services sanctioned Lauber to a $250 monetary fine regarding, “Did not complete insurance CE before deadline of 6/30/08.”

Lauber has been the subject of two customer complaints, one of which was closed without action, according to his CRD report:

August 2017. “Clients allege unsuitable strategy led to purchases of a broad range of unsuitable small energy, commodity and financial stocks. Period at issue is 11/2008 to 7/2015 while at RBC.”The customer is seeking $5,000 in damages and the case is currently pending.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, RBC Capital Markets, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Lauber’s customers.
