Did you lose money investing with Independent Financial Group, LLC broker Kenneth Guerra (CRD# 1337062)? Guerra has been registered with Independent Financial Group, LLC in Grants Pass, Oregon since 2010.

In September 1997, the Department of Consumer & Business Services and the Division of Finance and Corp. Securities sanctioned Guerra to a $9,136.03 fine alleging, “unlicensed sale of unregistered securities.”

Guerra has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2013 and 2019, according to his CRD report:

September 2019. “Claim that, despite their stated objectives, they were invested in high-risk alternative investments, resulting in a loss of some of their retirement assets.” The customer is seeking $100,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint is regarding alternative investments.

March 2018. “Claimants alleged that the non-traded REIT purchased in 2007-2008 was misrepresented and unsuitable.” The customer sought $80,000 in damages and the case was settled for $60,000. The complaint was regarding real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Independent Financial Group, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Guerra’s customers.
