Kemp has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2007 and 2020, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaint is regarding:

July 2020. “Claimant alleges against Respondent Morgan Stanley, inter alia, unsuitability with respect to equity and closed end funds securities (time period Dec, 2014 – Jun, 2015); and, unsuitable high yield securities while on margin against Respondent Janney.” The customer is seeking $1,196,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding common and preferred stocks and Closed-End Funds (CEFs) and took place while Kemp was registered with Morgan Stanley.
