Investigation of Former NMS Capital Advisors, LLC Financial Advisor Darrell Rideaux

There are options for customers of former NMS Capital Advisors, LLC financial advisor Darrell Rideaux (CRD# 5211032) who suffered investment losses. Rideaux was registered with NMS Capital Advisors, LLC in Beverly Hills, California from August 2016 to May 2017. Previously, he was registered with Morgan Stanley in Los Angeles, California from 2013 to 2015.

In February 2018, FINRA barred Rideaux after he consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he refused to appear to provide on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of civil claims filed against him alleging that he solicited private placement investments that resulted in financial losses to his investors.

Rideaux has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2016 and 2017, according to his CRD report:

June 2017. “Claimant alleged, inter alia, that FA solicited to him an investment opportunities that were unauthorized by the firm – 2014 to 2015.” The case is currently pending.

March 2016. “Misrepresented a non firm product.” The customer is seeking $10 million in damages and the case is currently pending.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, NMS Capital Advisors, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Rideaux’s customers.
