Former Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. Financial Advisor Leslie Flaum Has Two Pending $1 Million-Plus Customer Complaints

Were you a victim of former Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. financial advisor Leslie Flaum (CRD# 1369557) regarding unsuitable recommendations and other securities violations? Flaum was registered with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in Melville, New York from 1994 to August 2017. Flaum is not currently registered with any brokerage firm.
Flaum has been the subject of two customer complaints in 2017, according to his CRD report:
November 2017. “In his capacity as a supervisor of claimant’s broker, claimant alleges a failure to supervise broker who allegedly made unsuitable recommendations, churned her account and breached his fiduciary duty. From 2010 to 2015.” The customer is seeking $1,108,156 in damages and the case is currently pending.
March 2017. “Failure to supervise. From 12/2010 to 12/20/2016.” The customer is seeking $2,000,000 in damages and the case is currently pending.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Flaum’s customers.
