First Allied Securities, Inc. Broker Daniel Brunette Recovery Loss Options

Were you the victim of First Allied Securities, Inc. broker Daniel Brunette (CRD# 813924)? Brunette has been registered with First Allied Securities, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana since 2012 and with Cetera Investment Advisers LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana since 2020. 

In November 2016, the State of Ohio sanctioned Brunette to pay a $500 monetary fine regarding the following allegations: “failure to report to the Department (Ohio) the State of Illinois, Department of Securities consent order dated May 25, 2006.”

Brunette had three additional regulatory sanctions listed on his CRD between 2004 and 2006.

Brunette has been the subject of 16 customer complaints between 2000 and 2020, six of which were denied, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaint is regarding: 

July 2020. “Claimant generally alleges unsuitability, due diligence, fraud and failure to supervise.” The customer is seeking $100,000.01 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding variable annuity investment losses and took place while Brunette was registered with First Allied Securities, Inc.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, First Allied Securities, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Brunette’s customers.
