Former Kalos Capital, Inc. Broker Curtis Whipple Investment Losses

Erez Law is interested in speaking with investors who may have suffered losses due to investments with former Kalos Capital, Inc. broker Curtis Whipple (CRD# 1657643). Whipple was registered with Kalos Capital, Inc. in Plymouth, Michigan from 2012 to 2020.

Whipple has been the subject of three customer complaints between 2005 and 2020, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report:

  • June 2020. “Multi-claimant case, alleging unsuitability, misrepresentation, and lack of due diligence relative to UDF IV.” The case is currently pending and was regarding real estate securities.
  • April 2017. “Clients allege unsuitability for investments that they purchased in 2012.” The customer sought $99,000 in damages and the case was settled for $37,500. The complaint was regarding direct investments and common and preferred stocks.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Kalos Capital, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Whipple’s customers.
