Investment Loss Options for Former Clients of Kalos Capital, LLC Broker Christopher Shaw

There are options for clients of Kalos Capital, LLC broker Christopher Shaw (CRD# 5011382) who suffered investment losses. Shaw has been registered with Pruco Securities, LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina since May 2019. Previously, Shaw was registered with Kalos Capital, Inc. in Belmont, North Carolina from 2011 to 2019.
Shaw has been the subject of three customer complaints between 2019 and 2020, according to his CRD report:
February 2020. “Claimant alleges the representative engaged in misrepresentation and unsuitable recommendations.” The customer is seeking $500,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate securities and private placements and took place while Shaw was registered with Kalos Capital, LLC.
November 2019. “Breach of fiduciary duty; unsuitable investments.” The customer is seeking $350,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding alternative investments and took place while Shaw was registered with Kalos Capital, LLC.
July 2019. “Client alleges unsuitable investments in alternative securities between 11/2012 and 05/2017.” The customer is seeking $450,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding oil and gas securities and real estate securities and took place while Shaw was registered with Kalos Capital, LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Kalos Capital, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Shaw’s customers.
