Ping Wu has been the subject of four customer complaints between 2016 and 2021, two of which were denied, according to his CRD report:
- November 2021. “Claimant alleges unsuitable investment recommendations which resulted in losses.” The customer is seeking $330,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint took place while Ping Wu was registered with Cetera Investment Services LLC and was regarding real estate securities.
- May 2021. “Claimants alleges that their registered representative recommended unsuitable investments.” The customer is seeking $75,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint took place while Ping Wu was registered with Cetera Investment Services LLC and was regarding real estate securities.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Cetera Investment Services may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Ping Wu’s customers.
