December 2024. “The claim alleges unsuitability, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, negligent hiring, and breach of contract based on investments made in 2017.” The customer is seeking $750,000 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate investment trust (REIT) losses, and it took place while he was registered with Concorde Investment Services, LLC.
July 2021. “Claim is alleging suitability, negligence and misrepresentation, regarding to investment made in October of 2017.” The customer sought $50,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $27,600. The complaint was regarding direct investments, and it took place while he was registered with Concorde Investment Services, LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Concorde Investment Services, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Joel Woods’ customers.
