August 2020. “Claimant alleges, inter alia, unsuitability with respect to alternate investments – Aug, 2016 – Jul, 2020.” The customer is seeking $200,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding hedge funds, and non-broker-dealer affiliate products.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Morgan Stanley may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Jimmy Driggers’s customers.
