Mutual Fund Losses with Former AXA Advisors, LLC Broker Jenna Kang

Erez Law is currently investigating former AXA Advisors, LLC broker Jenna Kang (CRD# 6334679) regarding mutual fund losses. Kang was registered with AXA Advisors, LLC in Los Angeles, California from 2016 to 2020, when she was terminated regarding, “During a review of a customer complaint, RR admitted to signing client names to product account applications.”

In October 2020, Kang was barred by FINRA after he consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that “she refused to produce the information and documents requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation into whether Kang had signed customer signatures on her member firm’s documents.”

Kang has been the subject of nine customer complaints in 2020, one of which was closed without action, according to her CRD report:

  • June 2020. “Client alleges that the signature on an account application submitted on their behalf does not belong to them.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.
  • June 2020. “The client requested that an unauthorized account be closed after learning that their former RR submitted an account application without the client’s authorization.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.
  • June 2020. “Client alleges that a retirement account application submitted on their behalf contains a signature that does not belong to them.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and the case is currently pending.
  • May 2020. “Client alleges that the signature on a retirement account application does not belong to them.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.
  • May 2020. “Client alleges RR opened a retirement account on the client’s behalf without full disclosure.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.
  • May 2020. “Client alleges RR opened a retirement account on the client’s behalf without full disclosure.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.
  • May 2020. “Client alleges that they do not recognize the signature on a retirement account application that was submitted on their behalf.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.
  • April 2020. “Client alleges RR opened a retirement account without her permission or knowledge in 2020.” The complaint was regarding mutual funds losses and it was settled.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, AXA Advisors, LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Kang’s customers.
