Former Morgan Stanley Broker Jeffrey Hackett Accused of Unsuitable Investment Recommendations

Jeffrey Hackett Customer Complaints

He has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2011 and 2021, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaint was regarding: 

December 2021. “Claimant alleges, inter alia, unsuitability with regards to managed account – April, 2007 to November, 2008.” The customer is seeking $5 million in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding managed and wrapped accounts and it took place while he was registered with Morgan Stanley. 

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Morgan Stanley may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Jeffrey Hackett’s customers.
