There are options for clients of broker David Volpe (CRD# 2543478) who suffered investment losses. David Volpe was registered with First Financial Equity Corporation in Scottsdale, Arizona from January to May 2019, when he was terminated regarding, “Failure to notify firm of private securities transaction involvement and violation of firm policy regarding borrowing funds from a client.” Previously, David Volpe was registered with LPL Financial LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona from 2017 to 2018, when he was terminated regarding, “Violation of the Firm’s private securities transactions policy for involvement in capital-raising efforts without prior disclosure.” Prior to that, David Volpe was registered with National Planning Corporation in Scottsdale, Arizona from 2009 to 2017.

In August 2019, FINRA barred David Volpe after he “consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he refused to produce information and documents requested by FINRA in connection with an investigation into whether he engaged in a private securities transaction or borrowed funds from a customer.”

David Volpe Faces Customer Complaint

David Volpe has been the subject of one customer complaint, according to his CRD report:

August 2020. “Claimant alleges that between 2015 and April 2019, representative converted her funds by liquidating her accounts for his own personal use and by requesting claimant to write personal checks to him.” The case is currently pending. The complaint took place while David Volpe was registered with National Planning Corporation, LPL Financial LLC, and First Financial Equity Corporation.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, National Planning Corporation, LPL Financial LLC, and First Financial Equity Corporation may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by David Volpe’s customers.
