Dibrino has been registered with American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. in Fairfield, New Jersey since 2016. Previously, Dibrino was registered with First Allied Advisory Services, Inc. in Fairfield, New Jersey from 2015 to 2016, when he was terminated regarding, “Registered Investment Adviser Representative failed to follow firm policy by permitting a non-registered assistant to reuse client signatures and working in concert with the same assistant to alter client signed documents.” Prior to then, Dibrino was registered with Sii Investments, Inc. in Fairfield, New Jersey from 2007 to 2015.

Dibrino has been the subject of three customer complaints between 2012 and 2020, one of which was denied, according to his CRD report:

  • July 2020. “Claimants allege their former representatives recommended alternative investments that were not suitable for them. Claimants generally allege misrepresentation, unsuitable recommendations, breach fiduciary duty, failure to supervise, breach of contract and negligence.” The customer is seeking $125,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint took place while Dibrino was registered with SII Investments, Inc. and  First Allied Securities, Inc. and was regarding direct investments and real estate securities.
  • May 2020. “Negligence and breach of fiduciary duty.” The customer is seeking $500,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint took place while Dibrino was registered with American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. and was regarding oil and gas investments.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Dibrino’s customers.
