Erez Law is currently investigating LPL Financial LLC broker Brenton Ditto (CRD# 4779103) regarding unsuitable investment recommendations. He has been registered with Elizabethtown, Kentucky, since 2022.
In August 2025, FINRA suspended him for four months in all capacities, fined him $5,000, and ordered him to pay disgorgement in the amount of $402.58 plus interest for recommending a complex product to a 95-year-old client.
According to the Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (AWC), he recommended the elderly client invest in Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) support class bonds, a complex product for which he did not have a reasonable basis to believe was in the customer’s best interest based on his investment profile.
Brenton Ditto Customer Complaints
He has been the subject of one customer complaint, according to his CRD report:
June 2023. “Complaint alleges unsuitable recommendation.” The case was settled for $12,475.77. The complaint was related to government debt, and it took place while he was registered with LPL Financial LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, LPL Financial LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Brenton Ditto’s customers.
