October 2023. “The client alleges a conflict of interest between the financial advisor and the client and failure to disclose the conflict of interest. The client alleges Edward Jones failed to properly supervise the financial advisor. The client alleges the financial advisor’s representation regarding the affects of a sale of RVP stock would have on the RVP share price were inaccurate. The client alleges the financial advisor’s opinion that RVP would be worth $30 a share were made without a reasonable basis. The client alleges the financial advisor did not properly diversify the client’s accounts or make suitable recommendations in keeping with the client’s investment objectives.” The customer sought $15,000,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $1,200,000. The complaint was regarding common and preferred stocks, and it took place while he was registered with Edward Jones.
October 2018. “The client alleges the financial advisor placed trades in her Advisory Solutions accounts without her authorization.” The customer sought $5,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $12,600.67. The complaint was regarding managed and wrap accounts, and it took place while he was registered with Edward Jones.
