Buckman, Buckman & Reid, Inc. broker Alfred Block (CRD# 1192064) is accused of churning. He has been registered with Buckman, Buckman & Reid, Inc. in Little Silver, New Jersey, since 2017. He was registered with Viewtrade Securities, Inc. in Jersey City, New Jersey, from 2005 to 2016.
In February 1997, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission issued an order instituting public administrative and cease and desist proceedings. The SEC barred him and ordered him to pay a $50,000 monetary fine, after it found that he “unlawfully permitted two statutorily disqualified persons and another unregistered person to associate with the firm and engage in securities transactions for customers. The commission also found that Block created false books and records, and took other steps that concealed those unlawful associations.
In August 1998, the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. sanctioned him to pay a $2,500 monetary fine, and suspended him from association with any NASD member in any principal capacity for 30 days.
In February 2025, the state of New Jersey ordered him to pay a $1,000 monetary fine following allegations that he acted, “as an agent without registration” when he effected purchases and sales of securities from 1/2/04 until 1/5/04 without being registered by the bureau.
Alfred Block Customer Complaints
He has been the subject of five customer complaints between 1995 and 2025, one of which was closed without action, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaint was regarding:
June 2025. “Churning.” The customer sought $2,225,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $1,250,000. The complaint was regarding options losses, and it took place while he was registered with Buckman, Buckman & Reid, Inc.
