In September 1996, the Texas State Securities Board entered a consent order against the broker after he failed to amend his U-4 form disclosing a bankruptcy filing.
Clovis Morrison Customer Complaints
He has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2023 and 2025, according to his CRD report:
July 2025. “The customers allege that, the Registered Representative recommended and misrepresented unsuitable, high-risk, illiquid investments. No specific dates for the alleged activity were identified in the Statement of Claim.” The customer is seeking $100,000 in damages, and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding real estate securities losses.
April 2023. “In March 2021, the customer alleges that the Registered Representative breached his fiduciary duty by failing to properly tender a pension rollover check causing the customer to incur tax liabilities.” The customer sought $250,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $14,999.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Centaurus Financial, Inc. may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Clovis Morrison’s customers.
