In February 2003, the State of Alabama, Department of Insurance sanctioned him to pay a $250 fine following allegations of a misdemeanor.
In October 2003, the Office of Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Georgia sanctioned him to pay a $500 fine related to allegations that he concealed materials facts on a license renewal application.
Michael Hyser Customer Complaints
He has been the subject of one customer complaint, according to his CRD report:
April 2023. “Claimants allege Mr. Hyser recommended the sale of unsuitable investments.” The customer sought $5,000 in damages, and the case was settled for $170,000. The complaint was regarding direct investments, and it took place while he was registered with Kestra Investment Services, LLC.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, LPL Financial LLC may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Michael Hyser’s customers.
