Barrett & Company Broker Wilson Saville Investment Loss Options

Were you the victim of Barrett & Company broker Wilson Saville (CRD# 1406756)? Saville has been registered with Barrett & Company in Providence, Rhode Island since 1986.
In 1998, the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. censured and sanctioned Saville to pay a $1,000 monetary fine.
Saville has been the subject of two customer complaints between 2014 and 2021, according to his CRD report. The most recent complaint is regarding:
April 2021. “Claimants allege that Mr. Saville and Barrett & Company violated their obligation to maintain a proper supervisory system to monitor Registered Representative, Charles White. Mr. White allegedly placed the Claimants into unsuitable investments in the year 2013 which by the time of Mr. White’s retirement from Barrett & Company in 2020 had lost significant value.” The customer is seeking $1,600,000 in damages and the case is currently pending. The complaint was regarding a customized portfolio.
Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Barrett & Company may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Saville’s customers.
